Creek @ Pistol Pete's Geelong

Pistol Pete's Food n Blues, 93 Little Malop St, Geelong, VIC.

Seasons have changed. Time has passed.. YEARS, since Creek have brought it to Pistol Pete’s Food n Blues establishment on Little Malop St, Geelong.

Forming in Naarm/Melbourne after bonding over a shared love of Duane Allman and Dicky Betts’ lead work, Creek are four “hippie-looking blokes” with Telecasters, determined to make some noise on this planet. Kicking things off in 2016 as a guitar-centric force reminiscent of early 70’s southern rock, the millennials have branched outward to nurture their unique sound through blending elements of psychedelic/garage rock, funk, jazz, and prog rock. Renowned for their wild rhythms, soulful lyrics, and captivating guitars, it’s in the band’s nature to deliver a mesmerising and electrifying experience.

With a sound that proves difficult to categorise within the current indie rock sphere, Creek have seen their way onto a wide variety of lineups. As it stands, they’ve had the pleasure of sharing the stage with acts the likes of hard-hitters, King Of The North; afro-beat groovers, The Seven Ups; and Greek stoner-rock heavyweights, 1000Mods. The lads know the highways of Australia’s east coast like CCR’s catalogue, having trekked far and wide to make themselves heard at events the likes of Queenscliff Music Festival (VIC); Mojo Burning (QLD); Folk, Rhythm & Life (VIC); Byron Bay Guitar Fest (NSW); and Echuca-Moama Winter Blues (VIC/NSW).

They’ll be bringing 2 sets of BEATS, BLUES, and BEYOND for those ready for a whack Winter night out.
